Our Christian Vision
At St Bartholomew’s Primary School, we are committed to providing the best education for our children so they may be happy and successful in life. Through high academic standards and an enriched curriculum, our children will flourish spiritually, emotionally, physically and academically. They will feel valued in our safe, caring environment, and develop a love of learning and a desire to make a positive impact on their community and beyond. The children lie at the heart of everything we do. We aspire for our pupils to be the best they can be, in an inclusive Christian learning environment.
Our vision is ‘Rooted in love, we aspire to help our children flourish as respectful, compassionate citizens who positively contribute to our world. From small beginnings, we seek to give children strong roots that allow them to thrive, giving them the wings to fly’.
Our vision strapline is ‘Roots to Grow and Wings to Fly’.
Our vision links to the ‘Parable of the mustard seed’ in Matthew 13: 31-32. Jesus explains that a mustard seed when planted, grows into one of the largest plants so that birds can perch on its branches.
At St Bartholomew’s Primary, we aim to ensure our children:
- Have the ability to live in and value a diverse society
- Realise their potential and seek to be the best they can be
- Having the confidence to make informed choices and think for yourself disagreeing well
- Being aware of your own gifts and using them well
- Valuing the local community and world in which they live and making a positive contribution
- Recognising and celebrating the good in everybody and everything
For with Roots and with Wings, you’ll find all the rest!
