Roots to Grow and Wings to Fly

Our vision is ‘Rooted in love, we aspire to help our children flourish as respectful, compassionate citizens who positively contribute to our world. From small beginnings, we seek to give children strong roots that allow them to thrive, giving them the wings to fly’.

Our vision strapline is ‘Roots to Grow and Wings to Fly’.

Our vision links to the ‘Parable of the mustard seed’ in Matthew 13: 31-32.

‘The Kingdom of Heaven is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field; which indeed is smaller than all seeds but when it is grown, it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in its branches.’

(Matthew 13: 31-32)

It is simple reminder for us all that things might look very small at the beginning but they can become something much bigger and end up making a huge difference!

Jesus said that the kingdom of God is like a little mustard seed. This seed is very tiny at first but this is just the beginning of something. When this little seed is planted it grows into a huge tree, a tree so big that birds come and sit on its branches!

That tiny seed made a HUGE difference, and even though we can sometimes feel small, Jesus is telling us that we can also make a huge difference! God’s Kingdom is still growing today and we can help grow it!
