Welcome to Key Stage 1. At St Bartholomew’s years 1 and 2 follow the KS1 curriculum, spread over three classes, Robins, Starlings and Owl.
Year 1 and Year 2 children have been finding out about key figures from Black History. We wrote about Mary Seacole who was a nurse during the Crimean War.
This term, children in Key Stage 1 have been lucky enough to take part in four weeks of Cricket coaching from Somerset Cricket Board.
Pupils learned a range of skills, including batting, bowling, throwing, catching, productive teamwork and effective communication.
To commemorate Remembrance Day, children made their own medals from clay.
Children have been investigating World War II and have found facts using iPads and QR codes.
